Biography/Profile
Born in 1931, Bertha G. King received a B.S. degree in home economics. Following her undergraduate education, King taught and became head of the high school vocational home economics education departments in Norcross and Newnan, Georgia. King served as the acting state Future Homemakers of America (FHA) Adviser for the Georgia Association of the FHA. She also worked at the U.S. Department of Education as an Education Program Officer for Vocational Home Economics Education. She was a member of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). King died in 2012.
